You're awesome! So, Brag a little.
16 days ago we started this campaign. 21 Actions in 21 Days!
Some of us wondered, Could we do it?
What an unbelievable response! Many of you have created 21 Actions and gone right on past to create WAY more (Leo V. on Nature Walk has over 127 actions and Jeff B. has 113!).
We're impressed with the outpouring of support for PBI and all of you should be proud!
Don't stop now!
With 5 days left until the Campaign ends, do you want to set a "Sprint to the finish goal" for yourself?
I'm trying to complete my limited edition Polar Bear card set (I have 11 out of 12!)
You could pledge to finish strong and make sure you create one action a day for the next 5 days.
Maybe you are a few actions behind and want to be sure to hit the 21 Actions mark.
Or perhaps you are going for 100 actions!
Declare your goal by creating an action in the Help Others/Doing Big Action.
After you click Create Action, you will see the Share tool bar on your results page. Click to share on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media you like.
That way your friends who are not yet a part of myActions will be able to share in your awesomeness.

I have been pro- energy and conservatiion in my actions for most of my life. This was instilled upon me years ago by my Mom, who now is 89. I also have grown up in progressive communities where "reduce, reuse, recycle" was a common theme. I am always recycling everything and thinking about turning off lights, TV's, etc. I have had low energy bills because of this. It is so easy for me to run up points on a daily basis because of a lifestyle I have come to adopt. because of this, I have 2 daughters who are environmental researchers. NYS is also a state to put 5 cent deposit on cans and bottles so it is nothing to recycle them.
When my kids were growing up, they were involved in a cross country youth ski league. Every fall, we would do trail clean up and use the natural resources, such as downed trees and rocks to take care of erosion on the trails. We live in New York. As we traveled and hiked in other states., we realized that our state has a great volunteer initiative to maintain trail systems. I feel that inspired my daughters to pursue their adult professions.
Thanks for this inspirational note Marilyn. I am interested in which professions your daughters have pursued. Park Ranger? Field biologist? Environmental Educator? Lobbyist? Eco-friendly clothing designer? Stop me when I guess right!
We appreciate your active participation in this campaign for our National Parks!
My daughters work for the Miner Institute in Chazy, NY. It is associated with SUNY Plattsburgh where they received there envitonmental science degrees. They are now doing field work, actual field work with corn. They had being doing research with cows. My youngest has decided to pursue her graduate degree as they have a partnership with U of vermont where she gets paid aprtial wages for a free education but does her reasearch at Miner.
Oh so wonderful! I am sure you are proud, as you should be!
I am going to share why I picked the Denali group. I had a husky mix dog that I loved with all my heart. He was a basically white puppy who we adopted on my daughter's 11th birthday and the day she graduated from 5th grade. He was also the runt of the litter. He also had a blue and brown eye. We have adopted several Husky mixes over the years from shelters. I wanted a name for him to suit his color and breed. I picked up my USA atlas and wanted to find a name for my puppy. I saw the name Denali and chose that for my puppy's name.
My baby was so full of energy. I used to walk him every day at least 3 miles and we loved our time doing this. It was usually at night after I was done with the kids and my teaching responsibilities. However, I then got very sick and had to stop walking him. Denali needed his exercise so bad that he would jump out of the pen and jump back in when he heard my car come down the street. I never knew he had been out of the yard as he would be sitting there innocently waiting for me! The little devil. Of course, he was showing his excitement for me with his little brother. Gus never told on him...LOL
A neighbor eventually came down and told me Denali would terrorize the younger kids getting off the bus. This dog would never hurt a flea as he was just so full of energy and wanted to play but he was a large dog. I ended up having to give him to my ex who lived in the country. Denali was euthanized last Halloween , when he was 12 1/2 years old. I only was his Mom for a 1/3 of his life. He will live forever in my heart.
